Closing: Friday, Nov. 21, 2014 6-9PM
East End Studio Gallery presents “Steampunk”. Steampunk is a literary sub-genre of science fiction and fantasy that usually features steam-powered machinery. It is most often depicted in an American “Wild West” or British Victorian setting from the 1800’s. Popularized by the fiction works of H.G. Wells, Mary Shelly and Jules Vernes, Steampunk has inspired aesthetics in the fields of movies, fashion, art, literature and even architecture. We invite you to come and see how East End Studio artists have interpreted this genre of science fiction fantasy. Steampunk gear and costumes are highly encouraged!
