Pin Up Art Group Exhibition
In the late 19th century, burlesque performers and actresses sometimes used photographic advertisement as business cards to promote themselves. These adverts and business cards could often be found in almost every green room, pinned-up or stuck into “frames of the looking-glasses.” And thus the art of pin-ups was born. Throughout the decades both women and men recognized the power of pin-up images for advertising and inspiration. This show is homage to those beautiful ladies and man who have creatively inspired us by being hanging on our walls.
Opening Friday Feb. 24th, 6 – 9 pm.
Closing Friday March 3rd, 6-9 pm.
